As big fans of the (don't) Waste Water podcast, it was a lot if fun to be interviewed by Antoine Walter.

We have certainly learned a lot since the launch of PureTerra Ventures, and still have much to do.

Maybe copy us, maybe don't. Definitely share your perspective with us, we are always interested to hear how you see the #WaterTech space.

We encourage those interested or intrigued by #Water challenges, technology and #investment to give him and the podcast a follow.

His full post:

Investors should learn from... a French TV Show! (especially when it comes to #WaterTech 🤣)

Remember when Mark Zuckerberg coined the "don't be too proud to copy" motto at a time when he wanted his Facebook developers to emulate Snapchat features.

That was... let's say, borderline 😅

But when it comes to investment, "copying" can take many shapes, and no matter how much I think of it, I still don't see any negative option there!

1️⃣ You could "copy" an investor's thorough scouting and due diligence by joining an investment round
2️⃣ You could "copy" all of that investor's brain by... simply investing in his/her fund
3️⃣ You could "copy" that investor's... absence, and question if your genius move to invest in that pump cavitation technology is that brilliant, if none of the water reference investors are in the room!

🤔 Any negative angle I'm missing here?

Anyways, that's one of the countless learnings I brought home from that conversation with the PureTerra Ventures team (I would have had them all, but they "volunteered" Gijs, Alexander, Dylan, and Liza!)

I especially craved their transparency in acknowledging that their "water wisdom" didn't come for free, that it builds upon painful experiences and failures.

More details in this week's release of the newsletter! ⬇️

PS: I might release a bonus episode down the line with Liza's full interview. First, because it's punchline after punchline, then also because in 250+ episodes, she's the first one to pick on my "I'm a muggle" sentence! 🪄
